Gala Premiilor Primetime Emmy 2024 a avut loc duminică seară, marcând o serie de surprize şi realizări istorice în industria televiziunii. Dacă până acum Netflix şi HBO atrăgeau cele mai multe premii, compania Disney a dominat total competiţia, stabilind un record cu 60 de premii Emmy câştigate în cadrul ceremoniei, anunţă Hollywood Repoter.
Serialul Hacks, disponibil pe platforma Max (fostul HBO), a fost marea surpriză a serii, câştigând premiul pentru cel mai bun serial de comedie. De asemenea, actriţa principală din Hacks, Jean Smart, a fost recompensată cu premiul pentru cea mai bună actriţă într-un serial de comedie.
The Bear, câştigătorul de anul trecut al premiului pentru cel mai bun serial de comedie, nu a plecat cu mâna goală, obţinând premii importante.
Jeremy Allen White a câştigat premiul pentru cel mai bun actor principal într-un serial de comedie, iar Liza Colón-Zayas a devenit prima actriţă latino care câştigă premiul pentru cea mai bună actriţă în rol secundar.
De asemenea, Ebon Moss-Bachrach a fost numit cel mai bun actor în rol secundar într-un serial de comedie, iar Christopher Storer a primit premiul pentru cea mai bună regie. Cu un total de 11 trofee câştigate, „The Bear” a stabilit un nou record pentru cele mai multe premii Emmy câştigate pentru un singur sezon.
În categoria dramelor, serialul Shogun, producţie FX disponibilă în România pe Disney+, a fost marele câştigător, adunând un total de 18 premii, inclusiv pentru cel mai bun serial dramatic. Actorii Anna Sawai şi Hiroyuki Sanada au devenit primii actori japonezi care câştigă premii Emmy pentru interpretările lor în rolurile principale, iar Frederick E.O. Toye a primit premiul pentru cea mai bună regie.
În categoria mini-seriilor, Baby Reindeer, o producţie marca Netflix, a obţinut patru premii, inclusiv pentru cea mai bună mini-serie. Richard Gadd a fost premiat pentru cel mai bun actor şi pentru cel mai bun scenariu, iar colega sa, Jessica Gunning, a câştigat premiul pentru cea mai bună actriţă în rol secundar.
Printre alte premii notabile, Elizabeth Debicki a câştigat premiul pentru cea mai bună actriţă în rol secundar într-un serial dramatic pentru rolul său din „The Crown”, iar Billy Crudup a fost desemnat cel mai bun actor în rol secundar pentru „The Morning Show”.
Şi veterana Jodie Foster a primit premiul pentru cea mai bună actriţă într-o mini-serie pentru rolul din „True Detective: Night Country”.
Show-ul „Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” a fost desemnat cel mai bun serial de varietăţi, în timp ce „The Traitors”, show care a fost cumpărat în România de Pro TV, a detronat „RuPaul’s Drag Race”, câştigând premiul pentru cel mai bun program de competiţie reality.
