Romanian tabloid Libertatea is the only one that has over half million readers, according to National Audience Study, published by Romanian Bureau for Circulation Audit (BRAT).
Libertatea got the leadership in the top as Click!, that had supremacy in previous study’s editions, is not present in the rankings. Also absent are Adevarul and Romania libera.
All titles present in the top posted a decline in readers’ numbers. According to the top, the 2nd most read daily is Gazeta Sporturilor, with around 397,000 readers per edition.
Jurnalul National is the quality newspaper with the highest number of readers, 200,000. It was one of the very few that posted an audience increase compared to the previous SNA wave, May 2011 – January 2012.
BRAT changed, in the start of this year, the research methodology, from paper questionnaires to collecting data directly, with laptops.
