The blog owned by the journalist Andrei Niculescu was suspended after more readers of Romanian Gazetei Sporturilor signaled similarities between an article signed by the journalist and an article on a Spanish journalist’s blog. The announcement related to journalist’s temporary suspendation was published also on GSP’s website.
“We are very serious when it comes of possible plagiarism accusations, as we understand not to make any decisions with no objective and good faith made documentation”, GSP’s representatives mentioned, in a press release.
“Andrei Niculescu is a highly respected and experienced journalist. He knows very well the standards of the newspaper he writes for and the risks when it comes of using unattributed excerpts”, the press release mentions.
Until GSP’s investigation will be over, Andrei Niculescu’s section from Gazeta Sporturilor and the associated blog is suspended.
