Five big international companies gave up to buying advertising space in Hungarian conservative daily Magyar Hirlap after it published an editorial against gypsies, Mediafax wrote. Cancelling advertising contracts is the result of a campaign many NGOs were involved.
The Austrian group Erste Bank, Hungarian bank CIB Bank, Swedish Ikea, FedEx and the French energy group GDF-Suez decided to protest this way to an editorial written by Zsolt Bayer and published in January.
