Romanian TV stations declared losses in 2012 too, according to data published on Romanian Finance Ministry's website. Moreover, most TVs had turnovers smaller than in 2011.
Paginademedia.ro analyzed the results of the most important media companies in Romania.
The biggest turnover in 2012 was posted by Pro TV SA, company that operates the TV licences of Pro trust, but also the radio station Pro FM. Pro TV SA had Euro 107M turnover and losses of Euro 25.6M.
Antena TV Group, owner of licences for Antena 1, Antena 2, Euforia and GSP TV, posted a turnover of almost Euro 50M and a loss of Euro 1.3M, in decline compared to 2011, when it posted profits.
In 2012, Antena 3, a station operated by a different company, was on profit, with a business of Euro 15.3M and profit of Euro 200,000.
SBS Broadcasting (Prima TV, Kiss TV, Kiss FM and Magic FM) ranks third when it comes of business, with Euro 16.6M turnover and losses of Euro 3.4M
The amounts in Euro were calculated for the medium EURO-RON currency exchange for 2012.
The company that owns National TV didn't post the financial data.
