TVR1 and TVR+ will broadcast, on Sunday, starting 18.00, an exclusive documentary on the restucturations and sudden closure of the Greek public TV.
The documentary follows the emotional story of around 2,700 people left without a workplace on June 11th, following a decision made by Greek government to close ERT (Elliniki Radiophonia ke Tileorassi).
ERT was closed on June 11th by the Greek government, without a consultation with the Parliament, in order to save money, although TV had country-wide audiences and wasn't financed from the state budget.
With an Euro 300 budget, most ERT's incomes came from radio-TV tax included, same as in Romania, in the monthly energy bills. In Greece, the tax is Euro 4.3 per month .
