A table and some numbers are more than relevant in showing the lack of interest TVs showed towards the protests in Bucharest opposing the exploitation of Rosia Montana. On Sunday evening, a few TVs had no coverage of the protests in Romania’s capital.
A monitoring from Media Image, exclusively for Paginademedia.ro, is more than clear: no news on Romania TV, none on Antena 1 or Prima TV and none on Antena 3.

All the TVs covered by MediaImage’s monitoring, except Digi24, broadcasted, this year, commercials for RMCG project.
The protests benefited of the most attention from Digi 24 (8 news, 34 minutes), Realitatea TV (7 news, 39 minutes) and B1 (2 news, 73 minutes). Pro TV broadcasted 1 news on the subject (3 minutes), while TVR 1 – Romanian national TV – opted for a short - 43 seconds news to cover the protests.
Besides the news, Realitatea TV also hosted a 50 minutes debate on the subject, while B1 TV had a 16 minutes debate related to the protests.
