Exclusive: Dan Diaconescu: “We’ll resume OTV’s broadcasting by latest at the end of the month”
OTV might be broadcasting again starting this month, after Dan Diaconescu, its owner, said, exclusively for paginademedia.ro, that he got a TV license in Italy and is ready to start broadcasting around October 15th. “But here it’s not only up to us, is also about the Romanian cable operators”, Diaconescu mentioned.
According to him, his show will be made from a headquarters in Vatican, with the rest of the shows to be made in the studios from Preciziei Blvd.
Diaconescu said that, for the moment, there are retransmission contracts made with around 300 Romanian small cable operators that have, together, around 10% of the Romanian market. He mentioned that the station will also reach to the Romanian community in Italy.
When it comes of big Romanian cable operators, Diaconescu said there are more advanced discussions with RCS, from which an answer should come soon.
