Bucharest Appeal Court decided, on October 30th, at the demand of Radio City Bucureşti SRL, to suspend CNA’s decision to withdraw the licence for Click FM until the main case is solutioned through justice. Court’s decision is definitive.
City FM’s frequency was put up for contest in September and there are 9 companies that want to take it over, among which Ridzone, owner of Romania TV, Antena 3 SA, with Radio 3 FM, and RCS&RDS, with Digi FM.
CNA’s frequency contest is to start on November 18th.
Click Fm remained without license in July, as it wasn’t broadcasting for a month. The license expired on May 22nd and CNA was scheduled to discuss its prolongement on June 4th. At that time, a representative of the company that had the licence said that the radio, owned by Adevarul Holding, goes back to its initial owner, Adrian Andrici. He also added that, because of Adevarul Holding’s insolvency, the contract between the 2 companies was denounced.
