Mihai Morar, project manager ZU TV, said that the new TV will have in its schedule a talent-show that aims to promote “the kids fron Next Star”.
According to him, the show wants to bring forward the kids from Next Star, transform them in new stars and make the connection between them and radios, TVs and stages. It will run under the name “ZU Kids on the block”.
Next Star, Romanian format produced by Dan Negru, was, last year, one of the most successful entertainment shows on Antena 1, in terms of audience.
Zu TV programs schedule has 4 pilons: entertainment, news, lifestyle and music
Entertainments programs are ZU Kids On the Block, ZU Believes in you (talent show – offers a second chance to candidates rejected to talents shows), Zu Trends (news journal, broadcasted every 2 hours from Monday to Friday; will focus on popular music stars, new comers and known artists, Romanian and foreign), ZU Idols, Zu Music Mix, ZU Most (music shows).
Zu TV looks like a generalist TV, with a lot of musical programs, although GSPTV licence was modified by CNA from thematic-sports to generalist.
Antena Group will also launch a music event, ZUMA, Romanian musical awards, not just a TV. ZU Music Awards (ZUMA) will award the most popular Romanian artists of the moment; the winners will be selected by public.
