International Advertising Association Romania (IAA Romania) and Romanian Advertising Agencies Association (UAPR) announced the start of entry period for 10th edition of Romanian Effies and announced the festival has new categories and reorganized the old ones.
The entry period started on March 26th and will last until May 27th
Romanian Effie’s Organizing Committee also introduced new categories in the competition and reorganized and redefined some of the already existent categories
Romanian Effie Awards 2013 is now structured in 28 competition categories (6 categories more than in 2012) in which the advertising agencies, companies, market research companies or other entities that made communication campaign can enter their works
The new categories are “Brand experience”, “GoodWorks EFFIE – Brands (CSR)” and “GoodWorks EFFIE – Non – Profit”, “Media Innovation”, “Single Media Company Activation” and “Digitally Led Campaigns”, along with “Business to Business”.
The “Food products I” category was renamed “Packaged Food”, while “Food products II” became “Snacks, confectionery and deserts”. “Non Food Products” was divided into “Personal Care Products & Services” and “Household Supplies & Services”, while “Alcoholic Beverages” is now divided into “Alcoholic beverages – Beers” and “Alcoholic beverages – Others”.
“Media & Entertainment” was redefined so here there will be included also the campaigns for the brands of TV services providers.
“Pharmaceuticals” was renamed “Healthcare products & Services” and also includes campaigns for supplements and medical services.
EFFIE Awards is an international festival under EFFIE Worldwide, Inc. licence. EFFIE Awards was launched in 1968 in US. Romanian EFFIE Awards is an event organized by IAA in partnership with UAPR and implemented by The Institute.
