The main Romanian TV stations posted an increase in turnover for 2013, according to data published on Finance Ministry’s website. When it comes of profit though, the only ones on plus were Antena Group, Antena 3, B1 TV, Look TV and UTV.
In 2013, Pro TV had Euro 112M turnover, up Euro 5M compared to 2012. For the same period, the profit was absent, Pro TV posting losses of Euro 19M.
Antena stations were on plus. Antena Group, operating the licences for Antena 1, Antena Stars, ZU TV and Euforia, had last year a total turnover of Euro 56.7M, up euro 8.5M compared to previous year. Moreover, the company had a little over Euro 2M profit, recovering after an Euro 1.3M loss in 2012.
Kanal D had turnover of Euro 16M and managed to half its losses from Euro 8.2M in 2012 to Euro 4,7M in 2013.
Romania TV, operated by Ridzone Computers, had turnover of Euro 180,000 and Euro 2.4M losses. Still, the company runs its main operations on another company, RTV Satellite, which posted Euro 5.8M turnover and losses of Euro 2.3M for 2013
