Stelian Tanase, president TVR, stated, for Paginademedia.ro, that TVR Moldova is in an advanced stage and is scheduled to be opened in July, probably around 25th.
On June 17th, the management of the TV is discussing the project of equipment aquisition for TVR Moldova. Their cost, from the money allocated by Government, is of RON 1.1M.
Stelian Tanase:
„We have a space we can use in Chisinau. We will come with the people and the equipments. A team from TVR was already there. TVR Moldova is a solid project from the public TV. We hope it will have a long life”.
These statements for Paginademedia.ro come the same day after Tanase said, quoted by Mediafax, said that TVR News, TVR 3, TVR HD and TVR Moldova are outside Law 41 on SRTv’s way of functioning and organization and their closure is possible, but a decision hasn’t been made yet.
„Law 41 only mentions 4 channels, 1, 2, TVR International and local stations. The rest are outside the law. We are considering to return to the legal frame, as it was established by Parliament in 1994. There’s nothin mentioned about TVR News, TVR 3, TVR HD and TVR Moldova and the law is the law. But there are discussions between us, a decision hasn’t been made”, Tanase said, quoted by Mediafax.
Related to Tanase’s statements on closing the mentioned channels, Radu Carp, member in TVR’s Board, said the board didn’t discuss dropping TVR 3, TVR News or TVR Moldova, mentioning that the statements made in this direction by Stelian Tănase are inducing mistrust in TV’s mission, Mediafax wrote.
